÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College faculty and staff turned out in large number recently to meet and greet the college's new president Dr. John M. Anderson and his wife Vivien, at a reception held in their honor. 

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's new president, Dr. John M. Anderson, began his duties in a pleasant way with two "Have Breakfast with the President" receptions for students on both the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ and Wellsville campuses.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's Office of Communications has been notified that it was named a recipient of four awards in the 23^rd Annual Admissions Advertising Awards Competition, sponsored by the Admissions Marketing Report publication.

Fifty ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students participated in the fall portion of the annual NYS Mathematics Association of Two-Year Colleges (NYSMATYC) Math Contest in October where the team placed 12^th in the statewide competition. More than 700 students from 22 NYS two-year colleges competed.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College (SUNY College of Technology) has been named this year's "Honorable Mention" in the 2008 Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Awards for its recently completed townhouse-style residence halls. LECESSE Construction, Rochester; SWBR Architects, Rochester; and DASNY (Dormitory Authority of the State of New York) were also recognized along with ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ representatives at the awards ceremony in March.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College student Denis Culhane, of Rochester, a senior in the liberal arts/social sciences program at the college, has been recognized by the National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) with a Student Leadership award for two-year colleges. 

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will host the upcoming 19th annual SkillsUSA-Region I Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics, (formerly VICA-- Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) Tuesday, March 11, from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

Getting nutritious, tasty, fresh, and appealing meals on the table every day at the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus is a challenging affair. It means developing recipes, planning menus, locating and ordering large quantities of foodstuffs, preparing the food, and serving it to customers at the right temperature - all while maintaining the quality and safety of the food.

The Admissions Office at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College announces an Open House program, Sunday, March 30, beginning at 9 a.m.

In an effort to expand its outreach to prospective students outside the New York State borders, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will begin offering a new scholarship for out-of-state students, the Out-of-State Academic Scholarship, beginning with the Fall 2008 semester.
