÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's Orvis Auditorium was filled to capacity on Jan. 14 as the College's new president, Dr. John M. Anderson addressed the campus community for the first time in his new role.

The SUNY Board of Trustees today appointed Dr. John M. Anderson as the next president of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College. Dr. Anderson's appointment is effective March 1, 2008.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has announced that it has raised $1,043,000 for the building of its new Construction Industry Workforce Development Center in Wellsville, surpassing its original goal of $1 million.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Nursing Department is continuing its "Pay It Forward" philosophy through the awarding of its second annual "Pay It Forward" scholarship.

Charles V. Neal, professor, Business Technology Department, has taken on the duties of interim vice president for administrative affairs.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College's WINS Club recently raised $354 in bottle and can returns and monetary donations from the campus community and from Immaculate Conception School (ICS) in Wellsville to buy presents for an area family.

The Electrical Engineering Technology Department at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will open a brand new class 10,000 cleanroom laboratory facility specifically designed for semiconductor manufacturing technology for the upcoming spring 2008 semester

SUNY Interim Chancellor Dr. John B. Clark today nominated Dr. John M. Anderson to be the next president of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.

Anselm Tshibangu, assistant professor, Mechanical Engineering Technology, ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College has completed requirements to be named an ASQ-certified quality engineer (ASQ-CQE) by the Certification Board of the American Society for Quality.

Dr. Richard Kellogg, professor of psychology at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College, is the author of a new book published by Gryphon Books titled Vignettes of Sherlock Holmes.
