Students wishing to acquire a four-year degree in business administration need look no farther than ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.  The State University of New York (SUNY) and the State Education Department have approved a bachelor's degree in business administration (BBA) to begin admitting students in fall 2009.

Summit to Plan Food Supply Chain from Western New York State to New York City

and ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College will bring New York City chefs and food purveyors together with local farmers and agricultural experts at an April 23 summit to plan a supply chain from western New York State farms to the New York City market.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College Director of Student Activities and Orientation Spencer Peavey, and Assistant Director of Student Activities and Orientation, Antonio-Philip Lytle, were honored at a recent National Orientation Directors Association (NODA) conference.

An ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College graduating senior was named State University of New York (SUNY) 2009 Chancellor's Award for Student Excellence winner. Samuel Parent, Gouverneur, was honored at a reception in Albany in April where he received a commemorative certificate and a medallion suitable to be worn at commencement and other special events.

Six ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College students were recently inducted into the college's chapter of the Psi Beta National Honor Society in psychology.

÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College presents the 58^th Annual Alumni Choral Spring Concert, under the direction of Anthony Cappadonia, ASC director of vocal music emeritus.  The concert will be held Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. in the Orvis Activities Center Auditorium on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College campus.

The Admissions Office at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College announces an Open House program, Sunday, April 19, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Orvis Activities Center on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ campus.

Five area high school art teachers have been invited by the digital media and animation faculty of ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College to exhibit their diverse work in the Hinkle Memorial Library on the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State campus.  Represented are Wellsville High School and Genesee Valley Central School.

Approximately 1,100 students from Region I BOCES (Board of Cooperative Education and Services) districts encompassing Western New York and the Southern Tier, competed in the 20^th annual SkillsUSA-Region I Leadership Conference and Skills Olympics, (formerly VICA--Vocational Industrial Clubs of America) held earlier this month at ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College.
