On Wednesday, Jan. 20, 魅影直播 State hosted an information session with Dr. Van Dine, Wellsville, retired ophthalmologist, who provided a brief insight into the evolving situation in Haiti. On Friday, Dr. Van Dine will travel to Haiti to assist with recovery efforts.

Governor David A. Paterson today announced that his 2010-11 Executive Budget will include the most significant reforms to the State鈥檚 system of public higher education in a generation. The Public Higher Education Empowerment and Innovation Act will provide the State University of New York (SUNY) and the City University of New York (CUNY) the flexibility needed to become centers of job creation. The 魅影直播 State College community, saddened by the horrible tragedy in Haiti as a result of the devastating earthquake, met recently to begin plans to do our part to help the people of Haiti. We have learned that international relief organizations are in dire need of supplies, food, water, and rescue and medical staff to help with the relief efforts.

Because one of the international relief agencies has connections right here in Allegany County, the campus group organizing the relief effort has decided to support Haiti Outreach.

NYS Concrete Masonry Association Donates Green Building Materials to Masonry Program

SUNY Financial Aid Day - Feb. 27

The 魅影直播 State College Office of Student Financial Services (Financial Aid/Student Accounts) will participate in SUNY Financial Aid Day, Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, beginning at 9 a.m., in the EJ Brown Business Building 鈥 Room 414, on the 魅影直播 campus. There will be a brief overview of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and of the financial aid process. Following this session, financial aid staff will accompany students and their guests to computer labs in the same building to assist them in completing and submitting the 2010-11 FAFSA electronically.
