Six members of the ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team have earned All-Region honors.  JP Frey (Erie, PA/McDowell) and Jake Dale (Keshequa) were named to the 1st team while Mark Ciccotti (Horseheads), Kyle Barkley (Penn Yan), Brian Zimmermann (Frontier), and Joe Wallace (Avoca) were 2nd team selections.

��Ӱֱ�� State College wrestler Eric Shedden (Canton, PA) was named the NJCAA recipient of the SUNY Chancellor's Award for Student Athletes.  Shedden is the 14th ASC recipient of the award since its inception in 2004.

��Ӱֱ�� State College and National Residence Hall Honorary (NRHH), a non-academic honor society consisting of the top 1% of student leaders, announces the winners of April’s “Of The Month” (OTM) Awards.

This year’s winners, Keenan Thayer, Middletown, RI, and Randy Todd, Warsaw, each received $300 checks presented by Charles Jessup, (far left) business manager, and  Ben Palmer, (far right) owner, Southern Tier Concrete Products, Inc., ��Ӱֱ��.

��Ӱֱ�� State College sophomores Ryan Speciale (Corning West), Chase Bailey (Corning West), and Michael Fingar (Shenendehowa) were all named All-Region.  Speciale was a first team selection whil Bailey and Fingar were honorable mention.

Nine senior nursing capstone projects were on very public display recently as ��Ӱֱ�� State College’s nursing seniors conducted their annual health fair in the academic quad.

Mike Marsigliano and Minica DiBella were nominated for the award by computer imaging and architectural engineering technology,

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College baseball team downed Mercyhurst North East 13-8 in the Region III Division II Tournament to keep their season alive but fell 9-6 to Monroe CC in the loser bracket final to see their season end with a 20-20 record.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's outdoor track & field team finished 9th while the women finished tied for 10th at the NJCAA Division III National Championships in Columbia, MD.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State softball team was swept by the defending NJCAA Division III Champions on Saturday.  ASC fell 11-2 and 15-9 to Tompkins Cortland CC to fall to 13-19 (10-15) on the season.

Day 2 of the Region III Division II Baseball Tournament has been moved to Bolivar Richburg High School due to wet weather overnight. 

��Ӱֱ�� State will take on Mercyhurst North East starting at 11 a.m. followed by Monroe CC taking on Genesee CC at 2 p.m.  The winner of the ASC/MNE game will take on the loser of the MCC/GCC game at 5 p.m.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College men's outdoor track & field team is sitting in 5th place while the women are in 7th after day two of competition at the NJCAA Division III National Championships at Howard (Columbia, MD) CC.

Ronnie Stout held ��Ӱֱ�� State to one-hit as Monroe CC earned a 10-0 victory in a first round Region III Division II Tournament contest on Friday afternoon.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State men's outdoor track & field team sits in 2nd place after day one of the NJCAA Division III National Championships at Howard (MD) CC.  The Pioneers have 27 points and trail only the College of DuPage's (IL) 45 points.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State women's 4 x 800 relay team raced to the NJCAA Division III National Championship on Thursday afternoon.  Bridget McMahon (Avoca), Kelsey Wissert (Scio), Pam Breedlove (Rochester/East), and Carey Crooker (Addison) came from behind to win in a time of 10:17.56.

��Ӱֱ�� State College’s Office of Health Education presented the last “Brown Bag” lecture of the semester in the “Health Education with a Greenhouse Effect” series featuring Gina Boyd, head women's basketball coach and director of physical education at the college.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State softball team played tough versus #1 ranked Monroe CC on Tuesday.  ASC fell 5-0 and 6-2 to the Lady Tribunes who improve to 38-13 on the season.

The ��Ӱֱ�� State College athletic department presented their annual end-of-year athletic awards during a ceremony held at the Lake Lodge on May 3rd.  The athlete of the year, sportsmanship, leadership, academic, and William Havens awards were presented.

��Ӱֱ�� State College will host the 2010 Region III Division II baseball tournament May 7-9 with the winner advancing the NJCAA East District Championship.  The Pioneers will enter the double-elimination tournament as the #4 seed.

Early morning thunderstorms has forced the cancellation of the ��Ӱֱ�� State baseball team's final regular season doubleheader at Pitt-Bradford.  The game will not be made-up.

Thanks to the generosity of ��Ӱֱ�� State alumnus Bret Llewellyn, Buffalo, marketing, class of 1980,  there is a beautiful new art gallery on campus.  The Bret Llewellyn Art Gallery, located on the third floor of the Engineering Technology Building on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus, was dedicated recently during a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Both the ��Ӱֱ�� State College men's and women's outdoor track & field teams finished 4th at the 2010 Region III Championships.
