"Land Diaries," an exhibit of prints by Rochester artist Zerbe Sodervick, will open in the Gallery of ��Ӱֱ�� State College's Hinkle Memorial Library on Tuesday, Nov. 11, and run through the end of the semester.

James G. Cretekos, Wellsville, has been appointed by the NYS Governor's Office to the ��Ӱֱ�� State College Council.

The Admissions Office at ��Ӱֱ�� State College announces an Open House program, Sunday, Nov. 9, beginning at 8:30 a.m. in the Orvis Activities Center on the ��Ӱֱ�� campus.

The Admissions Office at ��Ӱֱ�� State College recently hosted scores of regional school counselors, directors of guidance, and college advisers during "SUNY Operation Inform 2008."

Dr. Steven J. Tyrell, ��Ӱֱ�� State College vice president for student affairs, was among 15 student affairs professionals recently honored by the ACPA (American College Personnel Association) Educational Leadership Foundation as a 2009 ACPA Foundation Diamond Honoree, for his outstanding and sustained contributions to higher education and student affairs.

Faculty and students in the forensic science technology program at ��Ӱֱ�� State College recently hosted an open house to acquaint colleagues and others with the tools and techniques used in this burgeoning field. 

��Ӱֱ�� State College officials have welcomed the following professional staff to campus over the past several months:  Molly Andrus, Julie Barber, Jerri Drummond, Cathleen Engle, Jeffrey Ferrara, Jane Gilliland, Anne Holmok, Jennifer Kuhn, Antonio Lytle, Crystal Myers, Jeanine Rose, Andrew Smilinich, and Chanel Wright.

The Communications Office of ��Ӱֱ�� State College has recently been notified that its admissions promotional materials captured a coveted Platinum Award in the recent MarCom award competition, while the view book garnered a Gold Award, and Invitation Tuesday Tours and the Web site home page each won an Honorable Mention.

Graduates of ��Ӱֱ�� State College's Internet-based health information technology (HIT) program, Class of 2008, achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) national certification exam. This represents the fifth year since 2000 that graduates achieved a 100 percent pass rate!

��Ӱֱ�� State College will stage the play, A New Brain, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, Nov. 14-16, in the Orvis Activities Auditorium. Curtain time is 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with a 2:30 p.m. matinee on Sunday. Cost of admission is $3 for students and $5 for the general public.
