"Dig Pink" Event set for Tuesday Night

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team will host a "Dig Pink" event on Tuesday as the Lady Pioneers close out the regular season with a match versus Erie CC.Ìý "Dig Pink" is an initiative of the American Volleyball Coaches Association that was started to raise funds in the fight against breast cancer.

The ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College volleyball team downed Genesee CC 25-20, 25-19, 25-18 in a WNYAC match-up in Batavia on Thursday.Ìý The victory over GCC was the first for ASC in over ten years and improves the #6 ranked Lady Pioneers to 26-2 (5-0 WNYAC) on the season.

Audrey Rath (Medina) has been a defensive specialist playing almost every minute of the ÷ÈÓ°Ö±²¥ State College soccer season.Ìý Rath has put six shots on net and has been credited with one assist on the season.Ìý More importantly she has played sweeper for a defensive unit that has allowed just 16 goals in 15 games on the season.Ìý The Lady Pioneers ended the regular season with a 10-4-1 mark and will host a Regional semifinal game on Tuesday.Ìý Rath sat down and answered a few questions from the sports information office.
